Planning
The Day: The night before the wedding is usually not best and could be a disastrous idea if there's travel or drinking planned. Try to pick an evening close to, but not right before the wedding. Fridays and Saturdays are suggested -- if you go out you'll have your pick of busy nightspots to play in.

The Friends: Decide ahead of time if you want the party to be big or small. Be sure to check in with the bride for any special guests, then invite her closest friends, family members, and about-to-be family members. Typically the men of the wedding party are excluded as guests.

The Place: Some bachelorettes prefer an intimate party in a hotel room or home. You can also start at home (or her favorite bar), and end up at a club or hotel room. Be sure to plan transportation ahead of time, especially if you'll all be drinking. Once you have a list together and have an idea of the evening's festivities, plan a budget. Inform the gals how much you'd like them to contribute to the party fund to cover costs. The bride should not pay for anything. It's her night and she's the princess.

Decorations:
